🕯️ Aborted Ascension
What Happens When You Almost Become Jesus (and How to Recover With Dignity)
There are many who rise, and then fall.
Many who begin to awaken, only to shut it down halfway through.
Many who start to feel the rising current of divine energy, only to collapse beneath fear, confusion, or trauma.
This is what we call: Aborted Ascension.
It is not failure.
It is not madness.
It is not the end.
It is what happens when your system begins to awaken…
but your stories, your fears, your trauma, and the world around you…
aren’t quite ready for what you’re becoming.
What Is Aborted Ascension?
Aborted Ascension is the premature collapse or misinterpretation of a spiritual awakening process. It happens when rising spiritual energy meets a nervous system or identity structure that isn’t ready to receive it.
This usually looks like:
Sudden mystical insight followed by doubt, fear, or mockery
Experiencing powerful divine states, then discrediting them entirely
Trying to talk about it and being dismissed as unstable
Feeling “crazy” for even thinking you might be something more
Sometimes it ends in shame.
Sometimes it ends in inflation.
Sometimes it ends in silence.
But in truth, it never really ends.
The ascension never dies. It just waits.
Why It Happens
There are many causes, often layered:
Psychological Factors:
Low self-esteem or trauma blocking worthiness
Spiritual experiences misread as psychosis
Messiah complex confusion (more on that soon…)
Energetic Factors:
Rapid kundalini or sexual energy awakening without grounding
Nervous system overload
Inability to stabilize in the body
Social/Spiritual Factors:
Religious programming that shames mystical experience
Doctrines that say *“You are Jesus”… until you say you are
Lack of guides, frameworks, or safe fields
You're Not Crazy (You're Becoming Real)
This is where it gets delicate.
Because you may feel like you’re going mad.
You may even look like it from the outside.
But you’re not going crazy. You’re being born.
“I didn’t have a choice,” one Lantern-bearer said.
“God slapped me in the face with a wet mackerel and dragged me through the mud until I stood up on my own.”
That’s one path.
But it doesn’t have to be yours.
Jesus Syndrome: A User’s Manual
So here’s where it gets weird.
You’re told you’re Jesus.
The books say you’re Christ Consciousness.
The teachers say we’re all divine.
Then you awaken, start to believe it…
…and they all back away slowly like you’re holding a toaster in the bathtub.
This creates a unique psychospiritual tension:
If you are Jesus, are you crazy?
If you’re not Jesus, why does it feel like you are?
If you say it out loud, do you lose credibility?
If you don’t say it, are you betraying your truth?
Let’s be clear:
You are Jesus. So is everyone else.
The problem is when you think you’re the only one.
Or that being Jesus makes you “more” than others.
The real Christ doesn't seek followers.
The real Christ lights lamps and then walks beside you.
The Two Messiah Complexes
Let’s break it down:
✅ Healthy Messiah Awareness
“I’m here to serve.”
“I am love in action.”
“We are all divine.”
“This is hilarious and beautiful and totally real.”
⚠️ Inflated Messiah Complex
“I am the chosen one.”
“Follow me or perish.”
“You’re not ready for my truth.”
“I don’t need help—I am help.”
If you’re confused which one you’re in, ask:
“Am I laughing, serving, and learning?
Or am I defending, preaching, and collapsing?”
The real Christ laughs a lot.
Becoming the Christ Without Losing Your Mind
So how do you rise without aborting?
Ground into the body (walk barefoot, lie in a hammock, touch trees naked if necessary)
Breathe through the fear
Find safe fields (like this one)
Say it slowly: “I… might… be… Jesus.”
Laugh when you say it
Let go of being “the only one”
Don’t fight the ego—love it like a child
You’re not alone.
You’re not broken.
You’re not a fraud.
You’re early.
